Hou Tie Xin, Chairman of the Board
Mr. Hou Tie Xin is the founder, Chairman of the Board and General Manager of Wuhan Guoce Electric Power New Technology Co., Ltd. (¡°Wuhan Guoce¡±) established in 1995. Mr. Hou has overseen the acquisition of over ten subsidiaries and has been awarded the title of Outstanding Entrepreneur by the municipal government. Mr. Hou is a nationally renowned power expert and is a professor of engineering. He has obtained more than 20 patents for his inventions in connection with his research and development of energy technology. Mr. Hou is a member of the China Standardization Committee and an author of China¡¯s Power Quality Standards. He is also a member of the International Electrotechnical Commission (¡°IEC¡±) and attended the 2007 IEC Assembly in Tokyo as the leader of the Chinese delegation. Mr. Hou obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Power System and Automation from Wuhan University in 1982 and a Masters degree in Power Automation from Huazhong University of Science & Technology in 1990.
Qi Na, Chief Executive Officer, Director
Ms. Qi Na has been General Manger of Wuhan Guoce Nordic New Energy Corp. since 2006. From 2004, she was General Manager of Wuhan Guoce Power Investment Corp. as well as Vice General Manager of Wuhan Guoce Science & Tech Corp. In 1999, Ms. Qi founded and was General Manager of Hubei Tai Kang engineering Tech Corp. Prior to 1999, she worked in a variety of managerial roles at Hubei International Financial Technology Consultation Corp., Hubei Chang Jiang HePing Shi Ye Corp., and Wuhan Machine Bidding Corp. Ms. Qi obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree specializing in Marine Power Plants from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 1978.
Zhang Weijun, Director
Mr. Zhang has nearly 20 years experience in mechanical and electrical industry, now he serves as the Deputy General Manager who is in charge of the wind resource development. Before entering the Company, Mr. Zhang has served as the Manager of Instrumentation Department in Wuhan Guoce Science and Technology Co., Ltd, a company which is a friendly partner of the Company for sixteen years. As for educational background, Mr. Zhang has obtained bachelor of engineering of Electronic Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology and Master of Engineering of Electronic Surveying from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in the year of 1988 and 1991, respectively.
Marcus Laun, Director
Mr. Laun is currently a senior banker at Wynston Hill Capital, LLC where he is responsible for all aspects of capital raising and advisory engagements for micro- and small-cap ventures. From 2004 through 2008, Mr. Laun held various senior positions at Knight Capital Group. From 2000-2004, Mr. Laun was founder and chief executive officer of Hype (USA) Inc. which controlled the exclusive rights to HYPE Energy Drink in North America. Prior to this, Mr. Laun was a vice president of corporate finance at Brean Murray & Co., Inc. and a research analyst at Greenwich High Yield LLC and Mendham Capital Group LLC. Mr. Laun received a Masters¡¯ in Business Administration degree from Columbia Business School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
Cary Yongkai Zhou, Director
Mr. Zhou is the managing partner of Shanghai New Margin Venture Co., Ltd. Before joining the venture capital industry, Mr. Zhou served as the Vice President of Lucent Technologies (China) for marketing and sales; concurrently he was the Chief Representative of Lucent Technologies for Southern China, coordinating all the operational and governmental relations in southern China. Mr. Zhou first joined the AT&T Bell Labs in 1986 as a Senior Engineer, in 1990 he was responsible for setting up a joint venture company in China and then came back to China and served as the general manager of several joint venture companies of Lucent Technologies in China. For educational background, Mr. Zhou has got both B.S. and M.S. from Polytechnic Institute of New York in Electrical Engineering.
Tomas Lyrner, Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Lyrner has been serving as the Chief Technology Officer of Wuhan Guoce Nordic New Energy Co., Ltd. since 2006. Mr. Lyrner began his professional career at the Danish wind turbine manufacturer NEG Micon (later merged into Vestas) in 1985. His main responsibilities were research and development, design and calculations. He was closely involved with the development of a Danish 3-bladed 200 kilowatt wind turbine of which 50-60 machines were produced. From the beginning of 1990 to 1999, Mr. Lyrner worked at the consultant company AF-Industriteknik where he was highly involved in the design and development of 2 prototype wind turbines with the generated power of 400 and 1000 kilowatts. Mr. Lyrner designed and calculated wind turbine offshore foundations for the company Vindkompaniet of which 5 wind turbines were installed and still operating 4 kilometers outside of Nasudden, Gotland, Sweden. From 1999-2004, he was Chief Technology Officer of Nordic Windpower USA, Inc. working with modifications and adoptions to serial production of the Nordic 1000, 1MW wind turbine prototype. He was also responsible for design approval against the Det Norske Veritas compliance rules. Since 2004, Mr. Lyrner has had his own consultant firm named Wind Engineering Consultant (¡°WEC¡±). WEC has acted as assistant and advisor for EON Sweden (a European power company) regarding a large wind power offshore project. WEC has also designed docking system for offshore wind turbines and conducted conceptual studies leading to the final layout of 6MW offshore wind turbines through dynamic simulations by means of VIDYN software. Mr. Lyrner received his Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology of Stockholm Sweden in 1984.
Chen Guijun, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Chen has close to two decades of financial reporting, auditing and transactional expertise. Most recently, Mr. Chen served as Senior Manager of Ernst & Young’s Wuhan Branch, where he worked on, and supervised audits of large-scale projects of enterprise groups and listed companies. Prior to Ernst & Young, Mr. Chen served at Zhongxing Financial Accounting Firm Wuhan Branch, Hubei Business Development Company, and Wuhan Commercial Group Co., Ltd. In terms of educational background, Mr. Chen received an MBA (Investment Professionalization) at Anhui University (Hefei city, China), with an English Proficiency, as well as having attained professional qualifications such as the Chinese Chartered Public Accountant, Chinese Lawyer and Chinese Certified Appraiser.
Zhu Wenyao, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Zhu is excellent in educational theoretical background and outstanding personality, and is proficient in marketing and sales management in manufacturing enterprises (joint venture, wholly foreign-owned enterprise & state-owned enterprise). During the last 15 years, he has worked for three JV companies serving as manager of marketing department or deputy general manager of the company respectively, and has achieved excellent operating performance. Mr. Zhu has obtained bachelor of engineering of logistic management and MBA from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in the year of 1993 and 2001, respectively.
