GC China Turbine Becomes Founding Enterprise Partner of Regional Wind Power Alliance

NEW YORK, NY -- GC China Turbine Corp. (OTCBB: GCHT) (the "Company" or "GC China"), a leading Chinese manufacturer of twin blade wind turbines, wishes to announce that in a strong show of support for the Company, key Government officials in Hubei Province, the regional home to GC China's operations in China, have indicated their intent for the Company to undertake a lead role in plans for consolidation of the sector and as a founding partner of the Hubei Wind Power Industry Alliance.

Led by Luo Qingquan, the secretary of the Hubei provincial Party committee, over twenty senior functionaries including the Wuhan executive vice mayor and the leaders of the development zone visited the company and met with leaders from the Hubei Science and Technology Department, Wuhan Development and Reform Commission, the Financial Bureau, Construction Committee, key department heads and representatives of several potential alliance enterprises related to the wind power sector in order to convene a preparatory meeting of the Wind Power Industry Alliance.

Several fundamental items were quickly established during the meeting; the city of Wuhan will serve as the base for the new regional energy alliance, and that GC China will act as the lead enterprise and core partner. A consensus was quickly reached regarding the need to ensure the establishment of an internationally accredited wind turbine research and development program though the construction of a large-scale 300MW wind turbine test facility, and to provide the test wind farm a high-grade location in Hubei Province for field testing and certifying innovations in wind turbine technology and components already under development within the alliance. GC China is particularly focused on efforts by its Swedish R&D partners who are quickly nearing the test phase of innovative new 2.5MW onshore wind turbines which can now enjoy rapid commercial development at the new alliance test facility.

The Hubei Wind Power Industry Alliance will be authorized under the administrative auspices of the Hubei Science and Technology Department and East Lake High-tech Development Zone. Specific plans and joint aims will be put forward within the next 10 days, with the alliance scheduled to be fully established by the first half of 2010. The government will provide support for the alliance enterprises and partners in regards to technology funding, research and development assistance, current funding, preferential tax status, streamlined permitting, approvals and access enhanced to markets and will strive for central government support for the alliance enterprise to the utmost by presenting the alliance as an integrated enterprise unit and provincial initiative.

Management predicts that the wind power alliance driven by GC China will readily consolidate the Hubei wind power industry, thereby creating an important wind power equipment base that can service the nation as a whole and promote increased green economic development with ensured ongoing support and promotion by national and regional governments at all levels.
