GC China Turbine Corp. is currently in production of 1.0 MW Turbines and growing market share by exploiting its low-cost advantage. Concurrently, the Company is investing in Research and Development towards the production of even larger turbines. The Company is targeting production of large scale turbines for 2010.

Cost of Production

The cost of a 2 blade wind turbine with imported components is estimated at approximately $700,000 USD per unit. The Company has extensively tested, verified and selected local suppliers for the components of its 1.0MW turbines. The cost for fully Chinese manufactured units is significantly less - subject to final system configuration. Contact us directly for an estimate.

Cost of Generation

Using a 50MW wind farm owned by Kaidi Electric in Shanxi Pinglu as an example, the average wind speed of which is 6.8m/s, annual effective generating time is 2044 hours and classified as a poor third class wind farm.

By installing GC China’s wind turbines a comparison of total investment (AVAILABLE FROM GC CHINA UPON QUALIFIED REQUEST) shows favorable generating costs and overall unit of investment costs. The Combination of economical purchase price with efficient installation and maintenance costs makes GC China a true low cost provider of wind energy.

The overall advantage is a low initial investment for wind farms of approximately $880 - $1025 USD/kW combined with lower generating costs for wind power at around $0.0263 USD/kWh – $0.0541 USD/kWh - thereby giving wind farm investors a higher rate of return on investment over the life of the wind farm.
